Do you get sweaty palms when asked to read out loud? When you were in school did you slink down in your chair hoping the teacher wouldn’t call on you to read out loud in class? For many people, reading out loud, along with public speaking, can be stressful.

This InQueery class will help take the fear out of reading text before an audience. If you are called to read aloud in the workplace, or to read from scripture in church, or in a classroom setting, you’ll learn how to be more relaxed and read with confidence.

Better reading begins with better breathing–using your diaphragm, humming a few bars, and even using Raymond Burr as a role model! You will learn how to EM-pha-size the right SY-lla-ble, and not to em-pha-SIZE the wrong sy-LLA-ble.

Parking is always free and available in the lot we share with the Auditorium Theatre. If they are charging to park, simply tell the attendant you are attending a Gay Alliance event and they will waive the fee.
