Rochester Institute of Technology: RIT Gay Alliance

The RIT Gay Alliance or “ritGA” is a student-run organization that aims to foster awareness, support and advocacy for the Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Transgender and GLBT-friendly heterosexual community at RIT and in surrounding Rochester. The organization accomplishes some of these goals by hosting speakers, fundraisers, and festivities, including National Coming Out Week (NCOW), the Annual Drag Show, screenings of Rocky Horror Picture Show and fun-filled, all-night “lock-ins” in the SAU that feature movies, games and free food. Furthermore, ritGA’s weekly meetings which usually occur every Wednesday at 9pm in the SAU during the Fall, Winter, and Spring Quarters are open to all past and present members of the RIT community, including students, faculty, staff, and alumni.
