Guys’ Night Out

Guys’ Night Out
Guys’ Night Out is a local trans* group that meets at 1pm on the second Saturday of the month at Equal=Grounds, 750 South Ave. Transmen and those identifying with trans-masculine experience (including questioning individuals) are welcome.  Please know this is a welcoming space with no set expectations on what it means to identify as a “transman” each of us has such a diverse background and life experiences!! There is no commitment to attend each month.  There will sometimes be a few people or a tableful of amazing people who attend.  Conversations range from topics regarding family life, personal experiences with regard to medically/socially transitioning and how life is going in general.

In addition to the set meeting at EG the group takes part in things like going to the movies, laser tag, pool and bowling.  This happens almost monthly with the ideas of where to go coming from the group.  The activities out are a mix of events just for the guys and some that are open for friends/family/partners to come and join in!!

***PS is you have some social anxiety, know you would be sitting at a table with people who can relate…you can come and share your life story or sit quietly taking in those around you 🙂

You are not alone!

Lambda Car Club International has almost 2000 members in 27 Local Chapters from coast-to-coast who share the same passion for things automotive that you do!

Lambda Car Club International was founded in 1981 as the Gay Old Car Owners Society, based in New York, NY. Since then, Lambda has kept expanding, and having MORE FUN, thanks to people JUST LIKE YOU!

Lambda is THE club to join if you are thinking about getting involved in the old car hobby, but aren’t sure what car to get. Or if you are a gay or lesbian person who has an old car that you just can’t imagine living without! What we all share is the love of and fascination with all things automotive, and a great sense of fun!

One of our most popular events is the annual winery tour in the Finger Lakes area. The Rochester Pride Parade and Picnic are two more great events and, of course, our most visible. Other events include drive-in movie nights, indoor and outdoor go-karts, cookouts and parties, car museum tours, and various cruise nights and car shows throughout the summer. Come join us OUT on the road! You may access our online calendar of events at or by accessing our main site listed above.

PFLAG/Gay Alliance-Parents Booster Club

The Gay Alliance and Rochester PFLAG are partnering to connect with parents of LGBT youths in a different sort of way – we’re building an old fashioned booster club!

We figured, if it’s good enough for the hockey teem then it’s good enough for us! Parents are invited to meet together twice a month to socialize and dream up ways to support the programming your teens have come to love. Bake sale – you betchya! Buy snacks for the Center – the kids will love you! Solicit door prizes for the Big Gay Prom – righto! Hold a car wash to support Youth Pride programming – couldn’t think of a better way to spend a hot summer day! There are many great ways to help us help your teens! Oh and did I mention socialize? This will be a great way to meet other parents who are just are eager to support their LGBT teens as you are.

The PFLAG – Gay Alliance Parents Booster Club will meet twice a month on Thursday from 6:30-7:30.
