McQuoid, Courtney. (Ed.D., LMHC)

My name is Dr. Courtney McQuoid. Over the past 10+ years I have worked with clients on difficulties ranging from anxiety and depression; identity and self-esteem; change and transition; and my specialties including: couples counseling, working with the LBGTQ community, as well as working with clients who are apart of kink and poly relationships and communities.

It’s important to me to be extremely relatable and active in and out of sessions; often texting daily. Our time is spent talking through your struggles together and moving towards feeling better sooner rather than later. I want to be a safe person for those that feel misunderstood, misrepresented, harassed, attacked, and ignored regardless of their gender identification, race, religion, sexual orientation, ability, or political ideology. I will always strive to create a safe space for others so they can be heard. Many of my clients say that are so relieved to finally find a therapist they do not have to “teach” about the language, pronouns, choices, and relationship dynamics especially within the kink/poly/BDSM world.

From a couple of Dr. McQuoids’ clients:

“Dr. McQuoid is invested in the health and well-being of her clients. She does not bring in pre-conceived notions of what healthy or unhealthy look like, but rather meets each client in their own truth, and works together with them to find health and wellness that are unique and tailored to each client. She is the most accessible, accepting, and loving therapist I have ever worked with.”

“Courtney is the most invested, compassionate therapist, friend I have ever encountered.  She has cried tears of sorrow and of joy for me and my struggles and triumphs, and above all has always made me feel welcome, accepted and loved.  She has brought awareness of myself and others into my life and consciousness in a way I did not know I needed before seeing her.”
