Please know this is a welcoming space with no set expectations on what it means to identify as a “transman” each of us has such a diverse background and life experiences!! There is no commitment to attend each month. There will sometimes be a few people or a tableful of amazing people who attend. Conversations range from topics regarding family life, personal experiences with regard to medically/socially transitioning and how life is going in general.
In addition to the set meeting at EG the group takes part in things like going to the movies, laser tag, pool and bowling. This happens almost monthly with the ideas of where to go coming from the group. The activities out are a mix of events just for the guys and some that are open for friends/family/partners to come and join in!!
***PS is you have some social anxiety, know you would be sitting at a table with people who can relate…you can come and share your life story or sit quietly taking in those around you 🙂

The Men’s Fest is a men’s weekend retreat sponsored by the Ithaca Men’s Network to explore the changing nature of what it means to be a man. It has been celebrated annually since 1984 in central New York State, USA.
During the weekend, from dinner on Friday at 6:00 pm until Sunday at 2:00 pm, we will have a chance to talk, play, cook, eat, process, learn, grow, challenge, sing and dance with other men. This all takes place at Camp Arnot, south of Ithaca, in the midst of hundreds of acres of state forest land. Camp Arnot has 5 heated cabins (accommodating 40 men), 8 unheated cabins, and a large lodge. There are places to camp out in the surrounding forest.
Our intentions for the fest are to create a safe, confidential, and supportive space for honest and clear communication, breaking down barriers and gender roles, challenging homophobia, celebrating mendom and having fun.
