Convinced that “in Christ there is no longer Jew nor Greek, slave nor free, male nor female, for all are one” Community Christian Church supports and encourages the full participation of all people, male and female, regardless of age, race, sexual orientation, or physical ability, in the life and leadership of the church. We are accepting of everyone, wherever you may be on your spiritual path. We know the grace of God extends to all people, not just those who hold one particular set of beliefs. We need each other’s perspectives in order to be nurtured into the fullness and wholeness of life that God offers.
Member United Church of Christ Coalition for LGBT Concerns
Chartered in 1975, D-I was the first combined chapter of the national organizations of Dignity (Roman Catholic) and Integrity (Episcopal). We have grown to become a recognized group of GLBTI Christians who are active and effective in both the Roman Catholic and Episcopal dioceses of Rochester.
We meet at St. Luke and St. Simon Cyrene Church, located at 17 South Fitzhugh Street at the corner of Broad Street in downtown Rochester. Parking is free in the lot next to the church unless there’s an event at the Blue Cross Arena. On-street parking is free on weekends. Although independent of “2-Saints,” we maintain a special relationship with this church and its members, supporting each other in ministry and often celebrating special events together.
