George Eastman House Photo Finish 5k

The fifth annual George Eastman House Photo Finish 5K will take place on Saturday, October 3, 2015. With a great course through Rochester’s Neighborhood of the Arts, the run/walk is open to all—from competitive runners and people using wheelchairs, to casual joggers, dedicated walkers, and entire families.

Funds raised for the Gay Alliance through the Photo Finish 5K will go towards renovating our new Neighborhood of the Arts location at 100 College Ave. See below for details.

Our new building will feature the Library & Archives, David Bohnett Cyber Center, education and meeting rooms, new office spaces for staff, and an art gallery, all in one space. It will be a multi-use center available to all members of the LGBTQ communities for workshops, presentations, meetings, and small events. This new space will greatly enhance our ability to serve and support members of our communities. We are thrilled to be growing and hope you’ll be a part of this important effort!

Also called “The Philanthropy Challenge,” the race aims to raise funds for George Eastman House as well as other nonprofit organizations that make Rochester a great place to live and work. The race is unique among Rochester running events in that George Eastman House staff and volunteers manage all of the event organization, but participants may form teams to raise funds for the charities of their choice. This approach honors both George Eastman’s commitment to good health and wellness, and his enduring philanthropic legacy, which continues to benefit the entire Rochester community.
