The Purpose of ROCHESTER PRIDE
- To educate about the diversity, issues and goals of the LGBT Community.
- To provide a forum to celebrate the culture, history and accomplishments of LGBT individuals.
- To provide an opportunity for networking and outreach by the many businesses, services and organizations that openly welcome LGBT people their friends and families.
Deaf Access to Pride
The Gay Alliance and the Rochester Pride Coordinating Committee are making a commitment to make 2009 Pride activities more accessible to the Deaf and Hard of Hearing communities. Partnering with community members the Gay Alliance has put out a call for volunteer interpreters to help at Pride week events. Anyone who wants to request an interpreter or volunteer to interpret should send an email to DeafAccess@gayalliance.org
