Parking and Getting Around

We are excited to be able to offer free parking for the Pride Parade and ROC Pride Fest this year – with many  thanks to our sponsors and friends at Trillium Health, the City of Rochester School District, and the First Unitarian Church.

What’s more is that we are now offering free shuttles to and from these specified parking lots, thanks to our sponsor, the University of Rochester!

Here’s how it works…

For both Saturday 7/15 and Sunday 7/16, you can park at:

  • Monroe Square, 259 Monroe Ave
  • School No. 1, Martin B. Anderson, 85 Hillside Ave
  • Monroe County Water Authority, 475 Norris Drive
  • The First Unitarian Church of Rochester, 220 S Winton Rd

There will be a shuttle running from the ROC Pride Fest to the First Unitarian Church, with a stop at the Monroe County Water Authority, School No. 1, and back to the ROC Pride Fest by the same route – approximately  every 15 minutes.

There will be a second shuttle running from Monroe Square to the ROC Pride Fest and back – approximately every 20 minutes. Monroe Square is the home of Trillium Health. There is a large lot behind the building with entrances on Monroe Ave, S Union St, and Alexander Ave. It is conveniently located near the beginning of the Parade, which is at Park Ave and Alexander Ave.

Pride Access Services

Pride 2017 takes place at Cobbs Hill Park, an area without stairs allowing festival attendees with mobility limitations to enjoy more of the festival site. Parking for individuals with disabilities will be located near the entrance to the Fest, in front of the basketball courts on Saturday and next to Lake Riley Lodge on Sunday, and in the upper lot in Cobbs Hill Park, off Norris Drive; a disabled permit is required to park in all disabled parking areas at the Fest. Tickets will be available at the accessible entrance.

Once again there will be a team of ASL interpreters providing their services throughout the entire week of events. All official Pride events will be sign language interpreted. There will also be interpreters at the entrance and the Info Booth on both days of the Festival. Info Booth interpreters will additionally be available for one-on-one interpreting needs with vendors. We are thrilled to be able to provide these services to make Pride inclusive of each and every person who would like to attend.

We are pleased to offer discount accommodations for those attending ROC Pride events. Check back soon for information on more partner hotels and special offers.
