Shoulders to Stand On Screening

Be Among the First To Screen Shoulders To Stand On Documentary: History of the LGBT Community of Rochester, NY

Experience a Page of NY State History Never Before Seen

Today, we “stand on the shoulders” of many people who made Rochester a city that celebrates diversity and has often set benchmarks for civil liberties throughout the nation. Shoulders to Stand On will capture the stories, struggles and achievements of our LGBT pioneers who made important sacrifices to make Rochester and Upstate New York a better place to live. A goal for the project from the beginning has been to offer the documentary to schools, libraries, churches, businesses and community organizations to be used as a tool for LGBT awareness, diversity training, and to introduce an audience to an unknown chapter of local history. To accomplish this goal, the Gay Alliance has established the following screening fees and guidelines for viewing:

Not For Profit: $250 (Includes Presentation/Panel)

For Profit $1,000 (Includes Presentation/Panel)

You must provide:

Marketing for screening
Space to view the documentary
Necessary equipment to show the DVD/BluRay

Presentation/Panel – Introduction to documentary, brief historical presentation on Rochester LGBT history, discussion with questions and answers.
